Year-End Procedures

  • Since dance is a performing art, all students enrolled at Great Expectations are required to participate in our annual recital, which will be held in June at the end of the school year.  There is a RECITAL FEE to cover the recital incidentals, including rehearsal, tee shirt, grande finale props and DVD.  Our emphasis during the school year is on dance technique and learning how to dance.  Preparation for the recital is an outgrowth of the classroom experience.  It is not our main focus.  To insure that the recital runs smoothly, DRESS REHEARSAL attendance is MANDATORY.  Teamwork is what ultimately makes each dance a success.  Therefore, your cooperation in regard to the above policy is critical in order to insure a rewarding experience for all.  The recital is digitally recorded by a professional and may not be recorded by any means. The dress rehearsal and the recital performances MAY NOT be videotaped or recorded by any means.

  • Class and individual costume photos will be taken at the studio, at the end of the school year.  The final pictures are returned to us before recital day.  We also enjoy the opportunity to choose from more than just one pose per costume!  There is no obligation to buy photos.
